How to get started with Process Heartbeat™

Process Heartbeat™ can be implemented gradually and in a controlled manner. We start with a limited pilot to verify that the solution works in the customer’s own production environment before a wider rollout.

1. Pilot using the customer’s own process data

Implementation typically begins with a pilot priced at €2,500. Together with the customer, we select a suitable device, machine, or section of the process, along with the relevant automation variables.

The objectives of the pilot are to:

  • Verify that Process Heartbeat™ works with the customer’s actual data
  • Identify process behavior, anomalies, and phenomena affecting performance in the data
  • Assess the practical benefits the solution can deliver
  • Pre-train the AI models for the selected equipment and operating environment.

The pilot gives the customer a concrete understanding of the solution’s potential while laying the foundation for full implementation.

2. Integration with the automation system

Once the solution has been validated, Process Heartbeat™ is connected directly to the customer’s automation environment. Integration can be implemented, for example, with a Siemens system, through an OPC UA interface, or using another method suited to the environment.

The system can then continuously analyze process data and provide results as part of daily production operations.

3. Results delivered to the customer’s own system or a separate user interface

The customer can use the results produced by the Process Heartbeat™ models in a way that best suits their needs.
The results can be:

  • Transferred directly to the customer’s automation or information system
  • Displayed in the Process Heartbeat™ user interface
  • Integrated with the customer’s other reporting and monitoring tools.

Through the user interface we provide, users can monitor, for example, anomalies detected by the models, process status, and changes in performance. The goal is to present the results clearly and help production experts make faster, data-driven decisions.

What if historical data is not yet available?

A lack of historical data does not prevent implementation. We can provide the customer with a solution that starts collecting and storing automation data directly from the process.

As the necessary historical data accumulates, we begin processing the data and training the AI models. This gives the customer both continuous historical data collection and the Process Heartbeat™ solution without a separate data project.

A controlled path from pilot to ongoing use

Process Heartbeat™ implementation proceeds according to the customer’s needs and existing infrastructure:

  1. Select the use case and the required process data.
  2. Conduct a limited pilot and verify that the solution works.
  3. Pre-train the models for the selected equipment.
  4. Establish a connection to the customer’s automation environment.
  5. Deliver the results to the customer’s systems or the Process Heartbeat™ user interface.
  6. Develop and scale the solution based on experience and accumulated data.
